Osmo Mobile 8P stabilises a phone on three axes and adds ActiveTrack 8.0 subject tracking inside the DJI Mimo app. The tracking features are currently limited to select iPhone models. The detachable Osmo FrameTap remote mirrors the phone or Multifunctional Module 2 view. It offers tap-to-track on detection boxes, a thumb joystick for gimbal, zoom and fill light, and magnetic attachment to the handle.
The optional Multifunctional Module 2 adds object tracking beyond people, cats, dogs and vehicles, plus a fill light with eight brightness levels and eight colour temperature settings. It is sold separately from the Standard Combo. The handle has a built-in extension rod and a wider-opening built-in tripod. The pan axis rotates without limit through 360°, and modes include PTF, FPV, PF and SpinShot.
The gimbal pairs with the phone over Bluetooth, with NFC pairing for Apple DockKit use. Its USB-C port can charge the phone. Mimo offers gesture control, composition assist, filters, ShotGuides and AI-powered one-tap editing.
