The Air 2 is a pair of true wireless earbuds that sit in an open-ear design instead of sealing the ear canal, so ambient sound stays audible. Directional audio technology and a purpose-shaped acoustic cavity guide sound toward the ear canal to limit leakage. Each earbud uses a 14.2 mm dynamic driver, with algorithmic compensation for low and high frequencies.
A Music mode and a Game mode can be switched between. Game mode applies a low-latency acceleration technology intended to keep sound in step with the picture. A built-in noise-reducing microphone separates voice from background sound for calls and in-game chat.
The earbuds connect over Bluetooth 5.3 and support HSP/HFP/A2DP/AVRCP with SBC coding, at a range of about 10 m. Playback is rated at 10 hours from the earbuds plus 18 hours from the case, and charging is via USB-C. The transparent charging case has RGB lighting on its base, with 11 lighting effects, and can be hung from a bag.
