PLASMA VOICE EURORACK
Plasma Voice is a 16HP Eurorack synthesizer module that produces sound from electrical discharges in a xenon-filled plasma tube. It works as a standalone voice with no external sound source and suits modular synthesists looking for an unusual sound source.

Plasma Voice drives a xenon-filled gas tube with a proprietary ultrasound pulse-width oscillator. The discharge between two electrodes is picked up and turned into analog audio by a rectifier circuit. The oscillator is modulated by 49 digital sound engines arranged in 7 banks: Bass, Lead, Pluck, Drum, Metal, Static and Spark. Unlike earlier Plasma products, which acted as distortion units, this module needs no external source.
Six centre-indent sliders cover pitch, time, modulation, harmonics, flux and filter, and an ALT button reaches fine tune, accent and filter resonance. Five attenuverters, seven CV inputs (including one assignable multi-CV input) and trigger and accent inputs allow patch control. The analog path has a soft-clipping drive, bass and treble EQ, a state variable filter (12 dB/oct low-pass or high-pass) and an output VCA.
A 3.5 mm MIDI input accepts notes, velocity, CC, program change, pitch wheel and mod wheel, and firmware can be updated over MIDI SysEx. The module runs from a standard ±12 V Eurorack ribbon cable; a power supply is not included.
