The JCM900 Overdrive Pedal is a single-channel drive pedal based on the sound of the JCM900 amplifier. It aims at the range from gritty overdrive to higher-gain lead tones, keeping dynamics and harmonic content. The enclosure is described as compact and robust, sized to fit on a typical pedalboard.
Control is by tactile rotary knobs for shaping the tone, plus a contour control for adjusting the midrange frequencies. The finish is black and gold, and the unit weighs 0.74 kg.
The pedal has one 1/4" jack input and one 1/4" jack output. It runs from a 9 V DC supply with centre-negative polarity. It can also run on a battery, with a stated play time of 30 hours. The external power supply is not included. It is designed and engineered in the UK and made in Vietnam.
