Kirjeldus
The D-16E is an acoustic-electric guitar from Martin's 16 Series, built at the Nazareth factory. Its D-14 Fret body (000 depth) pairs dreadnought projection with a shallower, more comfortable body. The top is satin-finished Sitka spruce over forward-shifted, scalloped X bracing, and the back and sides are satin mahogany.
The neck is a Modified Low Oval profile with High-Performance Taper, with a 25.4" scale length, 20 frets, a 1 3/4" nut width and an ebony fingerboard with Style 28 mother-of-pearl inlays. Hardware includes nickel open-gear tuning machines, a bone nut, a compensated white TUSQ saddle and black TUSQ bridge pins. The guitar is Pleked and a left-handed version is available.
Onboard Martin E1 electronics provide volume, tone and phase controls plus a chromatic tuner, so the guitar can be tuned and amplified without a separate pedal. A softshell case is included. The model is retired and may still be found at dealers.
