The DDJ-SB2 is a compact USB-powered controller with two channels and large, low-latency jog wheels. Eight rubber performance pads give access to Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Manual Loop and Sampler, plus Play, Cue, Sync and Shift. A Pad Trans function cuts the volume in time with the beat.
Each channel has a trim knob, a level meter and an independent low/high pass filter dial. A Filter Fade function adds two high pass filters to the crossfader, so volume and bass can be handled with one hand. The unit can control four decks in the software.
It connects to a PC or Mac over the supplied USB cable, which also supplies power. A built-in sound card lets it feed speakers or an amplifier directly. It works with Serato DJ Lite and is ready for a Serato DJ Pro upgrade. It can also control rekordbox dj (a rekordbox Plus Pack licence is needed), and it can act as a MIDI controller because it is fully MIDI assignable over USB.
