The RD-88 is an 88-key stage piano with a weighted PHA-4 action and ZEN-Core sound engine, aimed at gigging keyboardists. It has three zones, onboard speakers, hands-on knobs and Apple MainStage integration.

The RD-88 is a compact, lightweight stage piano built around an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel. Its sound engine combines SuperNATURAL piano and electric piano models with ZEN-Core sounds, giving over 3,000 tones and 400 scenes. Three zones can be layered or split, using internal sounds or external control of soft synths.
The front panel has eight assignable control knobs, two assignable wheels and a master volume knob, so sounds, effects and tonal balance can be changed during a performance. Effects include per-zone multi-effects (90 types), EQ and tone colour, plus chorus/delay, reverb, a master compressor and input reverb for the microphone input. Built-in extras are a rhythm pattern function, a song player, sympathetic resonance and DAW control. A 128 x 64 dot graphic display shows settings.
Two 12 cm full-range speakers with 2 cm tweeters (6 W x 2) allow playing without a separate amplifier. Line outputs, headphone, mic and line inputs, three pedal jacks, MIDI out, a USB port that carries MIDI and audio, and a USB memory port cover connection to computers, stage systems and storage.
