The Goldfinger Statement V2.1 is a moving-coil cartridge built around a body of 585 gold. Its coils are wound from 24-carat gold wire that is 30 percent thinner than in earlier versions. A precision-ground gold bracket holds the magnet block in place, and the generator uses a specially arranged set of stronger magnets. The coil layout is point-symmetrical, which keeps the electrical, mechanical and magnetic parameters balanced.
The cantilever is a redesigned boron part with an optimised tilt angle for tracking accuracy, and it carries a V-shaped engraving. The stylus uses a Micro-HD diamond with the clearaudio Prime Line profile. An integrated HF shield, a feature the earlier V1 introduced, is retained.
The cartridge is a standard moving-coil design that mounts in a tonearm and feeds a phono stage with MC input. It has an output of 0.5 to 0.6 mV at 5 cm/s and a system impedance of 50 Ω. The recommended tracking force is 2.8 g (± 0.2 g). It carries a two-year manufacturer warranty when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
