The AF30 is the smaller of Cort's two AF Series acoustic amplifiers, delivering 30 W RMS from a solid-state power stage. A single 8-inch woofer and a tweeter share a tilt-back cabinet, which can stand upright to project towards an audience or lean back to act as a personal monitor.

Tone shaping comes from a 4-band graphic EQ centred at 70 Hz, 400 Hz, 800 Hz and 10 kHz. An onboard DSP provides chorus, delay and a combined chorus plus delay effect, with rotary knobs for effect type and level and a push switch to turn it on or off. A notch filter with a frequency knob lets the player reduce feedback at the offending frequency.

For connections, the amp has an XLR microphone input, an auxiliary input for a CD or MP3 player, a headphone output and a preamp output for feeding a mixing console or PA system. The cabinet measures 392 x 320 x 305 mm and weighs 8 kg.
