The Superego+ is a polyphonic digital pedal built on a freeze-based synth engine. It captures the incoming signal and holds it as a sustained tone, with Attack, Decay, Threshold, Layer and Gliss controls for shaping how frozen sound fades in, fades out, stacks on earlier freezes and glides between pitches. Four footswitchable freeze modes (Moment, Sustain, Auto and Latch) are available, plus a Live Effects mode that sends the dry signal through the effects and switches the synth engine off.
An effects section offers 11 types: Detune, Delay, Echo, Flange, Phase, Mod, Rotary, two Tremolo variants, Pitch and Filter. Rate and Depth knobs adjust the selected effect, and an effects selector chooses between them. Expression presets sweep between snapshots of seven knob parameters, with one set of snapshots saved for each effect type.
It works with guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals and drums. Connections include a send and return effects loop for running only the frozen signal through external gear, an expression/CV input, and an EXT jack for a three-button remote controller. A power adapter is supplied.
