Wave:3 MK.2 is a USB condenser microphone built around a 16 mm capsule with a cardioid pickup and an internal pop filter. A Wave FX Processor runs DSP effects and Clipguard 2.0 distortion protection inside the microphone, so the processing applies in any app and can be heard with no delay through the headphone output.
Controls sit on the mic itself. A multifunction dial with an LED ring cycles through input gain, Voice Tune, headphone volume and monitor mix, and a long press starts Auto Gain calibration. Tap-to-mute and a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack are included, with support for headphones up to 250 Ω.
The mic connects to a computer over USB-C and also works with phones and tablets that support USB Audio Class 2.0, though VST effects do not carry over to those devices. It works without software, but the free Wave Link app for Windows and macOS is needed to edit hardware effects, add VST inserts and adjust mixes. A desk stand and 5/8" and 3/8" thread adapters are supplied.
