Kanta N°1 is a two-way bookshelf (library) speaker with a bass-reflex cabinet. A 6.5" (16.5 cm) Flax-sandwich mid-bass driver handles the low and mid frequencies, while a 27 mm IAL3 inverted-dome tweeter in pure Beryllium covers the highs. The driver uses TMD suspension to steady the surround, and a Faraday-ring magnetic circuit (NIC) keeps the magnetic field stable.
The front baffle is moulded from a single block of high-density polymer, and the rear shell is a one-piece moulded wood part. A Zamak base, a glass plate and magnetically attached fabric grilles complete the build. Drivers are time-aligned through Focus Time so that each one sits at the same distance from the listener's ear. Matte fronts in Black, Ivory or White are paired with Black, White or Walnut high-gloss bodies.
The speaker is passive and needs an external amplifier rated for 25–150 W. Four spikes and four counter-spikes (already fitted) are supplied. Optional matt black aluminium stands, adjustable from 61.5 to 64.1 cm in height, bolt to the base to limit vibration.
