The LINEAR 5 MK2 115 XA is a powered two-way, bass-reflex cabinet with a 15" cone driver and a 1" compression driver on a rotatable constant-directivity horn. Its enclosure has a slanted monitor edge, so it can sit on stage as a low-feedback wedge or serve as a mid/high element in a system with subwoofers. The horn pattern is 70° x 50° and can be turned for use on its side.
A Class D bi-amped amplifier delivers 600 W RMS and 1200 W peak. A DSP stage provides a 10-band parametric EQ with variable filter characteristics, high-pass and low-pass filters, polarity, level, delay, limiter and mute. Filter presets are Flat, Monitor, Low Cut and Remote. Latency is under 2 ms at a 48 kHz sample rate, and RMS and peak limiters protect the drivers.
Signal comes in through an XLR/jack combo and can be passed on through an XLR output or a DSP output. An Ethercon network input carries MILAN digital audio and allows remote control with HK Audio DSP CONTROL on Windows and Mac. The hybrid birch plywood/MDF cabinet has a steel grille, three M8 rigging points, a pole mount with 3°/7° DuoTilt, and three handles.
