The LINEAR 9 118 Sub BA is an active subwoofer built around one 18" driver with a 4" voice coil in a bandpass cabinet. It is rated for a maximum peak SPL of 136 dB and reaches down to 38 Hz (-6 dB) and 31 Hz (-10 dB). It is compatible with all LINEAR 9 Mid/High models.
A DSP preamplifier with a Class D bi-amped power stage, rated at 1,100 W RMS, handles processing. The DSP offers a 10-band parametric EQ with variable filter characteristics, plus low-pass filter, polarity, level, delay, limiter and mute. Filter presets for Front, Cardioid 1:1, Cardioid 2:1 and Remote make cardioid arrangements quick to set up. The DSP can be controlled remotely with HK Audio DSP CONTROL software for Windows and Mac OS.
Connections include two XLR/jack combo analog inputs, two XLR analog outputs and one XLR DSP output. Powercon NAC3 in and thru sockets handle mains, and Ethercon RJ45 network input and output ports are fitted, with Milan digital audio transmission. The birch plywood cabinet has a PU coating, eight MultiGrip handles and two M20 pole mounts.
