The V8 Series 4 is an active two-way 8-inch studio reference monitor with a 1-inch Kevlar tweeter and a woven Kevlar woofer. It is intended for near-field recording, mixing and mastering in studios, broadcast rooms and production houses.

The V8 Series 4 is a bi-amped, two-way powered monitor. A 230 W Class-D amplifier section drives an 8-inch woven Kevlar woofer and a 1-inch Kevlar dome tweeter, with a stated peak SPL of 118 dB. The front-ported bass reflex cabinet is designed to avoid boundary coupling, which allows more freedom in room positioning. A solid aluminium front baffle and an EVA foam pad are included to improve transient response and imaging.
Tuning is handled by 49 DSP-driven EQ presets for room and desk correction or personal taste. Separate low-frequency EQ settings address acoustic and desk-loading conditions, and mid and high-frequency EQ settings are also provided. Further controls are a precise input level attenuation switch, standby, ground lift, input sensitivity and logo LED selectors. A custom key is supplied for adjusting the EQ settings.
The monitor takes a balanced 10k ohm XLR / 1/4" combo input and is powered through a standard EC cable. An optional protective grille with screws and instructions is included for mobile broadcast use.
