The KH 810 II is an active, bass-reflex subwoofer built around a long-throw 10-inch woofer with ELFF force-factor technology and protection limiters. It extends low-frequency reproduction to 16 Hz and delivers roughly twice the output of the KH 750 DSP, which makes it a match for mid-sized monitors such as the KH 150 and KH 310.
A built-in bass manager handles stereo, surround and immersive layouts up to 7.1.4. The DSP has enough capacity to align analog KH-line monitors as well as the subwoofer when used with the separately sold MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment, correcting both frequency response and phase. Analog and DSP-equipped Neumann monitors can be mixed in one system, with the MA 1 Multichannel Extension available for larger setups.
Connections include two XLR inputs and outputs for stereo use, plus Sub-D 25 connectors for up to 12 analog input channels and 11 analog output channels. Monitors can also be fed digitally over AES3 on BNC, and an Ethernet port allows remote control through MA 1. The cabinet is painted wood with an aluminium electronics panel, a protective grille and a universal 100–240 V power supply. An AES67 version is sold separately for audio networking.
