DM-40

The DM-40 is a pair of powered desktop monitors built around a 4-inch fiberglass woofer and a ¾-inch soft dome tweeter in each cabinet. A front-loaded bass reflex system sends the low end out of the front, and grooved ducts reduce air friction, so the bass stays tight even when the speakers sit close to a wall.

The tweeters carry DECO (Diffusion Effectual Convexity by Olson) convex diffusers that spread high frequencies in all directions, giving a wide sweet spot and a 3D stereo image. Class AB amplifiers drive the speakers, and the tweeter and woofer are time-aligned for a balanced response across the frequency range. The cabinets have curved front edges intended to add rigidity and limit resonance.

The front panel has a volume knob and a headphone output. On the back, RCA and stereo mini jack inputs connect the speakers to a DJ controller, audio interface or other source. The speakers are available in black and white finishes.
