PMC10-4 XBD

The PMC10-4 XBD is an extended version of the PMC10-4 main monitor. Each channel consists of a main three-way cabinet and a bass cabinet (SUBxbd), both using ATL Advanced Transmission Line loading with Laminair airflow venting. Eight in-house 10-inch long-throw bass drivers are split four per cabinet, and are combined with a 34 mm soft-dome tweeter and a PMC75v3 midrange, both fitted with n-compass waveguides for controlled dispersion.

The system is run by a Master36 DSP/amplifier unit plus three power20 amplifier units per channel. The Master36 drives the tweeter and midrange at 800 W each and powers the first pair of bass drivers at 1000 W per driver. The three power20 units drive the remaining six bass drivers. Crossovers, system protection and room alignment EQ are handled by DSP and adjusted in the SoundAlign2 web interface, which runs from a built-in web server and is reached over wired Ethernet in a standard browser.

The units are linked by the proprietary masterlink connection, and illuminated logos on the cabinets show system status. Inputs are analogue and digital up to 192 kHz. The speaker is listed as currently in production, with a waitlist for availability.
