The JUNO-Di is a 61-key synthesizer with velocity-sensitive keys, 128-voice polyphony and 16 parts. Its sound bank has 1,082 patches plus 256 GM2 patches, covering pianos, strings, guitars, brass, percussion and synth tones. Five Sound Modify knobs, a D Beam controller and a pitch bend/modulation lever allow sounds to be changed while playing. Category buttons, 100 favorites slots and a backlit LCD help with finding sounds and building layers or splits.
A Song Player reads Standard MIDI Files and WAV, AIFF and MP3 audio from a USB memory stick, with front-panel transport buttons and a Center Cancel function for singing along. A microphone input has its own reverb with 8 types and a vocoder. Onboard rhythm patterns, an arpeggiator and chord memory are included, along with 3 multi-effects systems offering 79 types.
Outputs are 1/4 inch L/MONO and R jacks plus a stereo headphone jack. An EXT INPUT mini jack accepts an MP3 player. MIDI IN/OUT and a USB COMPUTER port with USB MIDI connect it to a computer, and a PC/Mac editor and librarian come on CD-ROM. Power comes from the supplied AC adaptor or eight Ni-MH AA batteries, giving about five hours of use. The unit weighs 5.2 kg.
