The WiTalk9 is a set of wireless headsets that talk to each other at the same time, so nobody has to press a button to speak. It works without a separate base unit: one headset acts as the master and the others pair to it. A single set handles nine people, and wired cascading of four sets takes the system to 30 users.
Each headset uses a three-microphone array with a noise-cancelling algorithm that offers two modes, plus automatic gain control for loud surroundings. The system runs on 1.9 GHz DECT with encryption and has two antennas. The headsets are rated IPX5 and include a wind-noise reduction algorithm and a foam mic cover. Two kinds of detachable ear cushions are supplied: ventilated on-ear foam and over-ear cooling gel.
The LINK port allows wired cascading of sets, a monitoring feed to a control board, and a connection to a phone or computer for remote calls on platforms such as Zoom or Teams. The master can also connect to a phone wirelessly. A companion app handles battery checks, muting, one-to-one talk, broadcast, adaptive frequency hopping and firmware updates.
