The EW 100 G4 865-S pairs an SKM 100 G4-S aluminum handheld transmitter, which has an integrated mute switch, with an EM 100 G4 half-rack true diversity receiver in a full-metal housing. The receiver has an LCD display for full control. Transmitter and receiver are synchronized by infrared. The set is aimed at singers and presenters, and the 865 variant uses the MME 865-1 microphone head.
The system is tunable across up to 42 MHz of bandwidth in the UHF range, with 1680 selectable frequencies and up to 20 compatible channels. A linking function allocates frequencies quickly for up to 12 receivers. Transmission range is up to 100 m (300 ft), and RF output power is up to 30 mW depending on country regulations. Typical battery operating time is 8 hours.
The receiver sends audio out over an unbalanced 6.3 mm jack socket. Two rod antennas and a rackmount set are supplied, along with an RJ 10 linking cable and an MZQ 1 microphone clamp. This listing is for the 1G8 range, which covers 1785 to 1800 MHz.
