The MTC Mk2 is an analog monitor controller that switches between four stereo sources and three pairs of stereo speakers, plus a mono subwoofer output. Each speaker pair has its own switch, so several can be active together. Monitoring modes cover stereo, mono, phase inversion and an LR swap, and combining mono with phase inversion isolates the mid or side signal. DIM lowers the level by 10 dB, and separate mute switches cover the speaker and headphone outputs.
Two Class AB headphone amplifiers both include the Phonitor Matrix, which applies analog crossfeed (adjustable) with a fixed 30° angle and a fixed -1 dB centre attenuation. Input C can double as a cue mix input that feeds the artist headphone output (HP 2) and the CUE OUT. The talkback section has a built-in condenser capsule, a level control, a TALK OUT, and a footswitch input for hands-free use.
Inputs A to C are balanced TRS jacks and D is RCA; active inputs are summed. A METER OUT follows the speaker output level for an external meter. The analog stages run on +/-18 V rails, and the unit has a built-in power supply for 85-264 V AC.
