The Desktop Fader Tile is a compact control surface for SSL System T. It pairs with the Tempest Control App running on a PC, giving tactile control of signal paths in smaller installations. It can also sit alongside a main control surface in a larger system, so a custom setup can be built for the room or application.
Sixteen 100mm motorised faders are arranged in fifteen layers with four banks per layer, giving access to 960 paths through dedicated Layer and Bank keys. Each strip has PFL, Mute, AFL, Select and Q keys, the Q key opening SSL's Super Q system, plus a back stop fader PFL. Each strip also carries a push-switch Quick Control encoder and three assignable keys, which work with the matching columns of the on-screen interface. Colour flag LEDs show the selected functions.
A sidebar holds an OLED for Bank, Layer and Quick Control pages, along with navigation and home keys. Connection to the TCA computer is over USB. Optional feet let the unit sit flat or angled.
