The UR44C is a compact, metal-cased USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface with six inputs and outputs, four D-PRE mic preamps, two Hi-Z inputs, two headphone outputs and a MIDI input and output. Converters work at up to 32-bit/192 kHz. It is sold in a grey/black finish and a red/black finish with identical specifications.
An onboard SSP3 DSP chip provides latency-free monitoring with REV-X reverb, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and Guitar Amp Classics amp simulations, all controlled through the dspMixFx application or, in Cubase, through its integrated monitoring. A streaming mix adds a loopback function that merges live inputs with computer playback, with extra effects such as a gate, compressor, multi-band compressor and ducker, plus a real-time voice changer and delay.
The interface connects over USB-C to Mac and PC (ASIO, Core Audio, WDM) and also works on USB 2.0 ports. With an iPad or iPhone it switches to class-compliant mode, and it can be bus powered by USB-C iPad Pro models. The dspMixFx Remote Bridge allows wireless control of the DSP functions from an iOS device on the same network.
