The BB-800 records to SD/SDHC cards as uncompressed PCM (WAV) or MP3. Four built-in condenser microphones, two at the front and two at the rear, cover a full 360-degree pickup. Two XLR inputs with +48V phantom power accept external microphones. A limiter helps prevent accidental distortion, and over-dub recording is supported.
A built-in 10W stereo sound system plays recordings back. For practice, playback can be looped, and speed can be varied with key control. A metronome and chromatic tuner are also built in. Operation is through dedicated knobs and keys.
Power comes from 8 AA batteries or the supplied AC power adapter. A wireless remote control unit is included, so recording can be started from a distance. The maker lists a tested SD/SDHC card list, an owner's manual and firmware updates for the model.
